We are currently seeking to join our team in the early childhood education sector of Sipoo. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER Permanent position starting August 3, 2026, or according to agreement. The placement is at Daycare Miili in Söderkulla, Sipoo. Our daycare is located centrally, in close proximity to Sipoonlahti School, within walking distance of both the library and sports field. The area is undergoing construction, which includes renewing the yard area of Miili Daycare. Currently, the daycare has five groups, three Finnish-speaking and two Swedish-speaking. In the upcoming operational period, we will be making changes as the Swedish-speaking groups move elsewhere and Sipoo’s bilingual teaching moves into Miili Daycare. Our daycare implements small group activities daily, and cross-group collaboration is part of the daily routine. Our location near nature allows for expanding the learning environment beyond the daycare gates. Good sports facilities support the promotion of an active lifestyle. Community events, celebrations, and cooperation with families foster a sense of community and participation. Initially, you will work with a small group of 3-5-year-olds, where the pedagogy emphasizes unhurried encounters, wonder together, and practicing everyday skills through play. Cross-group small group activities are realized, for example, in art music classes, where children explore various forms of expression through singing, playing, arts, and music together. The qualification requirement for the position is at least the qualification according to the Finnish Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), considering sections 74 and 75 and transitional provisions. The selected candidate must have excellent oral and written proficiency in Finnish. Salary and employment terms are based on OVTES (3042.69 EUR/month + possible supplements). The position includes a six-month probation period. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002) for working with children and a certificate of health. The Infectious Diseases Act requires tuberculosis screening for those working with preschool children. Applications must be submitted by June 12, 2026, at 16:00.
