Job Description
Wärtsilä is looking for a Test & Validation Mechanic at their Vasa laboratory. Responsibilities
- Prepare and perform necessary measurements and mechanical installations on test engines and laboratories according to schedule
- Ensure quality and reliability of testing activities, following industry standards and Wärtsilä guidelines, with safety as a priority
- Collaborate to balance workload within the team
Requirements
- Technical education (vocational school or equivalent)
- Interest in engine technology and basic knowledge, deeper knowledge of four-stroke engines is a plus
- Knowledge of control and measurement systems is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with manual and electronic tools and measurement systems
- Ability to work independently, in teams, and in shifts
- Good Finnish or Swedish language skills
- Good English language skills
