Global Technology Manager, Workshop Services - Valmet - Vantaa

The role involves collaborating with global and regional Workshop Operations to ensure scalable, feasible, and cost-competitive service technologies, repair concepts, and business models. The candidate will identify new opportunities by proposing repairable components and insourcing candidates based on market and customer needs. They will partner with workshop and regional leaders to support footprint development and investment planning by aligning technology roadmaps with business needs. Developing innovative service concepts and commercial models that create new revenue streams aligned with equipment lifecycle is also key. Acting as a bridge between workshop operations, sales, and quality teams to ensure smooth concept development, deployment, and implementation globally. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field, with practical understanding of pulp industry processes, equipment maintenance, operation, and lifecycle management. Familiarity with workshop operations, technology transfer, and training practices is required. Strong English communication skills are essential. The role requires combining technical expertise with commercial thinking, being proactive, analytical, and eager to challenge existing practices. Collaboration across global networks and clear communication with technical and commercial stakeholders are vital.
