Fire Inspector

Task: The Fire Inspector, as part of the rescue and pre-hospital services results area and the preventive safety service area, will utilize expertise across monitoring and advisory duties and perform work with tangible impact on regional safety. Responsibilities include safety culture assessment of surveillance targets, supervising building fire safety, enforcing monitoring obligations under chemical regulations, and various guidance, opinion, and advisory tasks. Involves safety communications to diverse audiences. Work area covers the entire Varsinais-Suomi. 18-month temporary position, starts as early as 12.10.2026 or as agreed. Six-month probation. The service area produces expert supervision services, chemical/explosive material oversight, and promotes housing safety through risk-based supervision. Working hours are 38.25 h/week with flex time; remote work possible per agreement and guidelines. Requirements: relevant AMK degree (preferably construction or safety), or a supervisory exam under rescue act and decree; Finnish language proficiency; Swedish preferred. At minimum, B-class driving license.
