The role of an early childhood education assistant is to support children according to the early childhood education plan in daily activities, enable equal participation in group activities, and support and promote children's growth, learning, skill development, and well-being in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act. In Kerava, the activities are supported by the daycare director, regional special education teachers, language and culture teachers, family counselors, and a large team of group assistants. The basic structures of early childhood education in Kerava are solid. The daycare units are appropriately sized, staffing resources are good, and substitute arrangements are functional. Our operations reflect the values of the City of Kerava: humanity, participation, and courage. The daycare director is present in daily activities, making it easy for staff to be heard. We celebrate successes together and support each other. Kerava has a strong history of participatory, dialogic, and developmental culture. We encourage experimentation, entrepreneurship, and trying new things. Staff are valued, and benefits include clothing allowance (€150/year), staff rotation, TSA allowances for good work (max €111/month), and meal benefits. We offer opportunities to utilize your special skills and grow your expertise through diverse professional training. We support staff education and development.
