Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, fixed-term TEACHER for the Basic Degree in Information and Communication Technology at our Tampere location. The teacher will be responsible for a second student group in the ICT training. The work begins on August 3, 2026, and ends on July 31, 2028. Kiipula’s vocational basic groups consist of small groups of 13 students, including students with special or intensive support needs. Teaching is student-centered, activity-based, and as work-oriented as possible. The responsible teacher works together with a job coach as part of a team composed of different educational fields. The responsibilities include guidance and network work related to students’ personal study plans (HOKS), planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching content, as well as cooperation with working life. Learning environments primarily include workplaces in the working life. Applicants are expected to have professional competence in the field and suitable education for the position. The qualification requirement is a relevant higher education degree, pedagogical qualification for teachers, and work experience in the field. Special education teacher qualification, knowledge of the basic principles of ICT degrees, and good overall ICT skills are valued. In the absence of qualified applicants, other suitable candidates will also be considered. Success in the role requires a flexible, solution-oriented approach and excellent interaction and collaboration skills. The employment is full-time (annual working hours 1500). Salary is according to the collective agreement for private education sector and includes a probation period. A 19% special education teacher allowance is paid to qualified special education teachers.
