Quantity Surveyor for Infrastructure Cost Estimation - YIT Oyj - Remote - Global

We are seeking quantity surveyors for cost estimation in infrastructure. Infrastructure is a vital part of daily life, enabling smooth everyday activities and forming the foundation of a sustainable society. As a cost engineer, you will play a central role in project success, responsible for comprehensive cost estimation from quantity surveying to submitting final offers. You will work closely with project managers, procurement engineers, and the cost team, utilizing your expertise across various projects. Your tasks include mass estimation, cost evaluation, comparison, and pricing. You will also participate in scheduling and planning, making your role key to overall project management. We offer flexible working arrangements: you can work at our Helsinki headquarters or at regional offices across Finland. Partial remote work is also possible to maintain a good work-life balance. What do we expect from you? A construction engineering, civil engineering, technician, or similar education or equivalent knowledge. Experience in infrastructure or industrial project cost estimation. Proficiency in English (at least B1 level). Market awareness and ability to develop competitive solutions for various projects. Experience with competitive contracting and understanding of materials and construction techniques. Ability to read drawings and develop alternative implementation methods from cost and feasibility perspectives. Experience with collaborative projects, procurement, and site tasks is a plus. You are cost-conscious, analytical, precise, quick to adopt new digital tools, and effective in using them. You communicate clearly and constructively with stakeholders. What can you expect from us?
