Job Description
This role combines preventive healthcare, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the opportunity to influence long-term outcomes. Turku's school and student health services are part of the Varsinais-Suomi Wellbeing Area's Turku Family Center and Student Health Services. Our operations are based on statutory preventive primary healthcare services for basic education students and secondary education students. Your tasks You will work at elementary and secondary schools in Turku and at secondary education institutions, responsible for the overall health promotion of children and young people. You will be part of the school's multidisciplinary student health team and collaborate closely with families, teachers, doctors, social workers, psychologists, and psychiatric nurses. The work is independent but strongly networked and community-oriented, and it takes place in various school environments across Turku. Your responsibilities include, among others: - Periodic health examinations and assessment of support needs - Organizing and implementing the national vaccination program - Outpatient services - Community and individual student health work - Assessing and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of the school community and environment. Excellent Finnish language skills, along with good Swedish and English skills, are considered an advantage in the selection process.
