Are you interested in cooking good food in a patriotic work environment? We are looking for a COOK for Poiju's good food special forces, who take care of the Navy's catering in Turku. The army does not march on an empty stomach, and food plays an important role in the soldiers' endurance. You and your colleagues in the barracks restaurant are key to ensuring soldiers have the energy to complete their service. Our clients truly appreciate the cook's work - they eat four times a day the good food prepared by you and your colleagues. The work in the barracks restaurant is versatile, and we prepare meals in large pots using Leijona's own recipes. You will work flexibly in morning and evening shifts, and your tasks include diet, salad, and pre-cook tasks. Experience with Aromi 14 production control system is considered an advantage. Sometimes it also means handling a ladle during military exercises in the middle of the forest. Our tables are filled with customers every day of the year, and your working hours vary between 5 am and 7:30 pm, mainly weekdays Mon-Fri. The position is temporary from July 20, 2026, to December 20, 2026. Essential recruitment criteria: A cook's degree prepares you to make good and healthy food. You have a hygiene passport. You have gained experience in cooking tasks and can work independently according to instructions. You have at least one year of large-scale kitchen experience. You fit into our team if you have a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and can prepare tasty food. Our working language is Finnish, and our recipes are only available in Finnish. We expect good Finnish language skills from you. Your workstation is located on a military base, and our client requires a security clearance for those working on the site.
