Job Description
The finance unit provides city-wide financial management services, centralized procurement services, project financial services, and centralized financial services for corporate administration. The finance unit guides and supports the city's financial management, accounting, and investment planning, development, and reporting. We are seeking a project specialist in finance for a fixed-term employment from August 17, 2026, to December 31, 2028. The start date will be agreed upon. Your tasks will include: Supporting and guiding project managers and project team members in project financial management. Supporting the success and implementation of Tampere city's projects at various stages, particularly in project management and project financial management tasks. Maintaining and developing cross-administrative tasks related to project financial management guidelines and the financial management skills of project personnel, considering the specific guidelines and rules of different service areas. Qualifications required include a university degree or a vocational qualification. Preferred qualifications: Experience in municipal or private sector financial management and/or project tasks. Knowledge of municipal budget processes and administrative procedures. Familiarity with procedures of different funding organizations and regulations concerning funding types. We use a trial period, which can be up to half of the fixed-term employment duration. The salary consists of a level salary of €3,705.88/month, experience-based additional pay, and other possible allowances.
