Hello, you recent graduate or more experienced nurse. Are you interested in diverse and meaningful work in children's psychiatry? We are seeking a nurse for a fixed-term position at HUS Children's Psychiatry Emergency Department from August 3, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The work involves three-shift rotation. The emergency department provides around-the-clock psychiatric assessment and care for children under 13 years old suspected or diagnosed with serious mental health disorders. The department has a total of 8 beds. The work begins on August 3, 2026, or by agreement. The Children's Psychiatry Emergency Department is responsible for monitoring and involuntary treatment under the Mental Health Act for both HUS and its cooperation area. Experience in psychiatric nursing or children's mental health work, as well as family- and network-centered working methods, are advantageous. Good communication and collaboration skills, as well as an independent work approach, are required. The nurse plays a vital role in helping both the child and their family achieve treatment goals. The nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with the child's close contacts and the network, such as school and child protection services.
