Job Description
We are seeking a project manager for an IP project within the RDI and business unit, from August 3, 2026, to June 30, 2029. If you are an experienced expert familiar with the operational logic of the creative economy and IP rights, and want to contribute to building IP-driven growth in creative fields, this position may be suitable for you. The work location can be in Tampere, Turku, or Jyväskylä, but requires readiness to work across the entire project area. Partial remote work is also possible. The project you will be responsible for is IP Hotspot – Export Expertise in Intellectual Property Rights (ESR+). The project aims to promote growth in the creative economy through university collaboration by developing a new interdisciplinary IP export agent training for business professionals, and enhancing the export readiness and IP export collaboration of creative content creators. The project will develop and launch an international IP export forum that brings together international investors and export agents, serving as a showcase for the most interesting Finnish creative content. The person applying will act as the project manager and expert for the project on a full-time basis. The project manager will work alongside a part-time creative economy expert. Responsibilities include project administration, developing interdisciplinary IP export agent training in collaboration with higher education institutions, compiling continuous learning training and service offerings across sectors, developing the international IP export forum and investor networks, and developing IP valuation and data utilization to support IP export. The specific duties will be tailored to the skills of the selected candidate. We expect from you strong experience in RDI activities, understanding of intangible rights, and IP business in the creative industries. The project will be implemented in cooperation with business services, education, and creative industry networks, and familiarity with at least one of the project regions—Pirkanmaa, Southwest Finland, or Central Finland—is required. Broader knowledge of the business service sector is an advantage. For the role, experience in continuous learning management, cross-sector collaboration, and private funding is beneficial. Communication skills are essential for the implementation of the project. We value a positive solution-oriented attitude, independence, and the ability to operate in rapidly changing situations with different people. Excellent Finnish language skills and the ability to work in English are necessary. International experience and familiarity with international networks are advantageous and should be mentioned in the application. Employment terms and salary follow the collective agreement of the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (Sivista), with a 6-month probation period. The position requires a suitable higher education degree and sufficient work experience. The employment can start as early as August 3, 2026. You may include your salary expectations; the salary is likely to be between €4,000 and €4,300.
