Job Description
Canonical is hiring a Mandarin Speaking Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco. The role involves engaging with customers, delivering projects, and conveying market requirements. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin, have extensive Linux experience, and be willing to travel up to 30%. The position is remote in the APAC region, with occasional travel to China. The role requires a degree in Computer Science or related field, proficiency in Linux, distribution/packaging experience, and knowledge of embedded Linux systems. The candidate should be proficient in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust, and have excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Extensive Linux experience (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
- Distribution/Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
- Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...)
- Proficiency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
- Professional written and spoken English
