We are seeking a Skills Services Supervisor for the catering services team at Vantaa Vocational College Varia. You are a good fit if you are cooperative and proactive, possess strong interaction and teamwork skills, and have a desire to develop new solutions. In your team, you will train professionals in the restaurant, catering, and food industry sectors. Varia works closely with workplaces. It is natural for you to maintain contact with industry employers and innovate new training solutions. Your work location at the start will be the Hiekkaharju campus, but part of the catering services will move to the new facilities at the Tikkurila Skills Campus under construction. As a Skills Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for your team’s training and service activities, finances, results, and development according to annual goals. You will organize your team’s degree and TE training and competence assessment. You will act as the direct supervisor of your team’s staff and ensure pedagogical and daily management with a coaching approach. Your duties may also include other shared responsibilities at Varia. You will be part of the management team and develop Varia together with other managers. Vantaa Vocational College Varia is a modern vocational education provider owned by the City of Vantaa, operating in five locations across Vantaa. Varia has approximately 4,500 students and 400 staff members. The City of Vantaa is investing heavily in vocational education. A new campus for 2,000 students opened in Vehkala in autumn 2025, and the Skills Campus in Tikkurila is planned for 2029. At Varia, we encourage our skilled staff to try and learn new things.
