Project Manager, Facilities Services - Helsingin kaupunki - Helsinki, Finland

We are looking for a permanent Project Manager for the Facilities Services of Helsinki City Social, Health and Rescue Sector. The work begins on August 3, 2026, or as agreed. As a Project Manager, your task is to lead projects and development within the Facilities Services unit, including managing operations, finances, and personnel, and developing the sub-unit. The sub-unit is responsible for content and promotion of sector projects and bringing operational perspectives into planning. Currently, about 30 experts work in the sub-unit. From early 2027, the sub-unit will be divided into two. Your responsibilities include leadership of the sub-unit experts, timely initiation and resourcing of projects, development of processes and guidelines, programming projects into the investment plan in cooperation with the Urban Environment Sector, extensive cooperation with various city organizations, preparing presentations and statements for top management, ensuring project plans align with city and sector policies, and preparing selected projects. Success in this role requires previous leadership experience, experience in designing healthcare facilities, interest in sector development, user cooperation, project expertise, good collaboration skills, proactive work attitude, and enthusiasm for development. The qualification requirement is a suitable higher university degree, excellent Finnish language skills, satisfactory Swedish skills, and previous leadership experience. Experience in social, health, and rescue sector facilities planning and user cooperation is a plus, as is knowledge of municipal decision-making. Before starting, consent to a security clearance under the Security Clearance Act (726/2014) is required.
