Physical Activity Instructor - Oriveden kaupunki - Orivesi, Finland

The City of Orivesi is hiring a fixed-term employment for a PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INSTRUCTOR. The reason for the fixed-term position is a parental leave cover. The Physical Activity Instructor works in the Well-being and Quality of Life Services, under the unit of Sports Services. The duties of the Physical Activity Instructor include guiding various exercise groups at different sports facilities and teaching swimming, water aerobics, and supervising guided groups at the swimming hall. The work also involves planning the overall guided physical activity in collaboration with the responsible instructor and social media marketing. The work station is at the swimming hall; no lifeguarding duties are included. Qualifications required include a degree as a sports advisor, a university of applied sciences degree as a physical activity instructor, suitable education/previous studies at the college level in physical activity instruction, or active incomplete studies in these fields. Additionally, a swimming instructor qualification from SUH is required. Courses that enhance professional skills, such as baby and family swimming training, are considered an advantage. We value proactive, creative, and enthusiastic attitudes. The work is partly independent and requires excellent planning and management skills. The selected candidate must be able to adapt to teamwork, possess good customer service skills, and basic computer skills. The job requires the use of a personal car. Working hours are regular (38 hours 15 minutes), including evening work. The candidate must provide a criminal background check and a health statement before starting.
