Job Description
We are looking for an Advanced Analytics Specialist to join our Decision Support and Advanced Analytics team in UPM Fibres, primarily located in Helsinki, Finland. The role involves developing analytics, optimization, and AI-enabled decision-support solutions to address business challenges across UPM Fibres. You will collaborate with experts and decision-makers to turn complex business questions into practical analytical solutions, including building and applying models such as optimization, simulations, forecasting, statistical models, and machine learning. The position offers opportunities to work on projects involving generative AI, large language models, and AI agents to improve workflows and automate knowledge work. The role requires a university degree (preferably MSc or PhD) in a related field, at least 2 years of experience in analytics or decision-support, practical programming in Python, and experience applying analytical methods to real-world business challenges. Fluency in English is required. The position supports the company's purpose of creating a future beyond fossils, emphasizing sustainability, diversity, and personal growth.
