Project researcher in social sciences - LUT University - Remote - Global

You will conduct research on data generation, management, and usage in energy and transportation systems, involving qualitative field data collection in Finland and collaboration with international partners in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Latvia. You will produce research reports, policy recommendations, and academic articles, presenting findings to diverse audiences. The role requires proficiency in qualitative research methods, including ethnography and interviews, and strong writing skills. International travel within the Nordic and Baltic countries is expected. The position is based in Lappeenranta, Finland, with a 16-month fixed-term contract starting in October 2026. The salary is approximately EUR 2,700–3,700 per month, depending on experience.
