Site Manager - Avery Dennison - Remote - Global

Member of the Avery Dennison Israel management team and partner in various forums in the global company. Reports directly to the VP of Operations and Supply Chain in Europe and to CEO Avery Dennison Hanita-Israel in a matrix manner. At the Israel site, he works closely with the CEO and interfaces with the finance manager, business unit managers, and department managers: R&D, engineering, and operations. The VP of Operations is responsible for the production site in Israel, which includes the various production departments and support departments, auditing, packaging, logistics, supply chain, TPI, purchasing, processes, quality assurance, operational excellence, safety and environmental quality, maintenance, infrastructure and economics. Direct management of 13 employees (operations management) and indirect management of 140 employees. Matrix management of Avery Dennison Hanita's manufacturing site in China. Full responsibility for all operations department performance. Building and implementing an annual work plan for the Operations Department in all aspects: Leading an operational excellence program - in terms of depreciation, output, and productivity. Acquisition and implementation of new equipment. Defining an annual investment plan with the professional teams. Managing the operations department budget and striving for constant efficiency. Leadership, mentoring, and personal and professional support of department managers. Characterization and implementation of work processes, line infrastructure, procedures, etc. Background and experience: Engineering education - industrial engineering and management, chemistry (process), biotechnology, machinery. Previous experience as a manager/VP of operations in a medium-sized or larger industrial company is required. Experience in leading a production site in a variety of topics and projects, process improvements, operational excellence, maintenance, building an annual work plan, building an investment plan, infrastructure, etc. Previous experience working in a global company - an advantage. Previous experience in the process industry, chemical industry, plastics - an advantage. Very good command of English - fluent speaking, writing and reading.
