Job Description
We are seeking a full-time teacher (Mathematics, Physics) for Imatra City for a fixed-term position from August 11, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The position is initially based at Mansikkala School Center. Mansikkala School Center is located in Finland's largest wooden school building near Vuoksi River. Opened in 2020, the school center includes a daycare, preschool, grades 1-9, and Imatra Joint High School. Basic education students can choose music-oriented (grades 3-9) or sports-oriented (grades 7-9) instruction. The high school offers dual diplomas with vocational studies, an international IB program, and a sports academy. Learn more about Imatra schools at www.imatra.fi/koulutyot. Qualifications are based on the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/98); qualified as a teacher of mathematics and physics for basic education. The most suitable candidate will be selected based on interviews and other assessments. In the absence of qualified applicants, those without qualifications will also be considered. We expect excellent communication and teamwork skills from applicants. Flexibility and experience working in a comprehensive school are valued. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). Terms of employment are based on OVTES. The basic salary for qualified subject teachers at Imatra City is €3,128.93–€3,317.83/month.
