Nano, lasten ja nuorten kerhotoiminta is a company providing services for the cities of Helsinki and Vantaa. Nano organizes after-school club activities for 7-8-year-old schoolchildren and has groups in fourteen schools in total. We are seeking an after-school activity instructor for our group at Kalasatama Comprehensive School for the 2026-2027 academic year. Work begins on August 6, 2026. The most essential skills for this role are excellent interaction skills, good organizational ability, and an interest in working with children. Nano's goal is for children to feel comfortable in our clubs, engage in meaningful activities, and experience our instructors as safe and competent adults. After-school club activity is group-based, so group leadership skills are emphasized. The applicant must be able to be fun and motivating, while also being a firm adult who sets boundaries. A club day consists of outdoor activities, a snack, homework, and varying hobby activities. In the Kalasatama Comprehensive School group, outdoor activity is emphasized, as we spend a lot of time outside and go on a weekly trip in the Mustikkamaa landscapes. Additionally, four days a week, we organize several hobby activities for the children to participate in. Our club includes various forms of exercise (e.g., ball games, dance, and movement games), crafts, arts and crafts, a nature club, an English club, etc. Our aim is to assemble hobby programs that offer as diverse activities as possible. Nano strives for goal-oriented and planned activities in its after-school clubs, and instructors participate in drafting the academic year program under the guidance of the lead instructor. Work begins on August 6, 2026, and this is a part-time position. Working hours are approximately 21-26 hours per week, and the after-school club is open between 12:00 and 17:00.
