Laurentius School is a comprehensive school in Lohja city center with approximately 800 students. The school staff includes nearly 100 educators. The school has classes preparing students for basic education for grades 1-6, as well as city-wide K-special classes. We are hiring four fixed-term school assistants for the period from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027. 1. School Assistant for grades 7-9. The work is based on need, mainly in grade 7 classes and the special class. The working hours are 30 hours per week. 2. School Assistant for grades 7-9. The work mainly involves working in the grade 8 special class. The working hours are 30 hours per week. 3. School Assistant for grades 7-9. The role includes working in preparatory classes and various grade-level teaching groups. The specific duties will be clarified at the start of the school year. The working hours are 30 hours per week. 4. School and afternoon activity supervisor for grades 1-2 mini-school. Primarily responsible for grade 2 supervision and afternoon activities. The working hours are 35 hours per week. Depending on the position, daily collaboration with class teachers, special education teachers, special class teachers, and other staff is expected. Your tasks may include: - Guiding and supporting students during lessons - Assisting students during transitions, free time, and breaks - Supervising afternoon activities - Monitoring students waiting for school transportation before and after school The school aims to enhance community spirit and well-being for both students and staff. You will receive training for your duties. School assistants meet regularly and work closely with other staff. In addition, experience-based pay may be granted, up to 8%. A trial period of half the employment duration applies. The employer will determine situations where a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy, Lohja branch, is required within one month of starting employment.
