Job Description
We are looking for a committed and motivated practical nurse for the 24/7 residential care unit Voutilakeskus Impivaara located in central Hämeenlinna, for a permanent position. The work begins according to the agreement and is performed in three shifts. We offer long-term, around-the-clock assisted living for 52 residents in bright and spacious rooms across four small homes. As a practical nurse, you will take care of residents' daily care, hygiene, and medication management. You will also act as a primary nurse for assigned residents and be responsible for preparing and implementing care and service plans in collaboration with residents and their relatives, as well as conducting RAI functional capacity assessments. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in social and health care or an equivalent qualification. Registration with the register of social and health care professionals is required. Participation in medication management requires a valid medication competence certificate, which can be updated or obtained at the start of employment. The salary for this position is €2,647.17/month. In addition to the base salary, experience-based supplements of 3%-8% are paid. The accumulation of vacation days is also based on service time. Applicants working with the elderly and disabled must present a criminal record extract as required by the Act on the Criminal Record Register (741/2023), section 28.1, and section 6.4 of the Criminal Records Act. Salary and other employment terms are governed by the SOTE agreement. A trial period applies. In direct patient and client work, vaccination against infectious diseases as required by the Communicable Diseases Act section 48 and a tuberculosis statement as per section 55 are mandatory.
