Job Description

Rinnekodit is a workplace that supports the holistic well-being of its employees. Together we build a respectful and equal work culture where everyone has the opportunity to develop. We are now looking for a social and healthcare professional or a final-stage student for a fixed-term employment period from 1.8. to 6.9.2026. Welcome to Rinnekodit Wäylä! Wäylä is a supported housing unit located in Järvenpää operating according to the Housing First model. Wäylä has 20 support apartments, 4 crisis apartments and 19 scattered apartments around Järvenpää to which home-based support is offered. The heart of Wäylä is the citizen activity center Wärtsi, which serves as a meeting place for people in the area. The target group of Wäylä are clients who are at risk of homelessness, or whose homelessness has persisted for some reason or is at risk of persisting. The use of intoxicants is not an obstacle to living in Wäylä. In Rinnekodit's Housing First services, we are professionals in meeting people. We build caring communities and ensure a communal professional approach. The work is guided by the Housing First principle, according to which housing is a basic right that does not have to be earned. We support our clients' opportunity to live a life of their own choosing. Task and its goals: As an instructor, you are an important part of our work community. Together with the team, you ensure a meaningful everyday life for the clients. You work in accordance with our common values and rules, focusing on the needs of the clients. The work includes varied and sometimes challenging situations, in which your own team will help you. Varied working days offer the opportunity to develop professionally and learn something new every day. Your presence is important – you are in an important role enabling a good everyday life and Christmas atmosphere for our clients. In your position, you support and maintain the functional capacity and holistic well-being of our residents and strengthen the client's participation and right to self-determination. The work includes versatile guidance tasks, for example related to the client's life management and everyday skills. In addition, you help our clients take responsibility for themselves and their living environment. We expect from you: final-stage studies in the social and health sector or a degree in the social and health sector and Valvira registration (for practical nurses we require Suosikki registration); readiness for three-shift work (although work mainly takes place in two shifts); ability to meet clients individually and with warmth and interest in homelessness work; basic knowledge of the Finnish language, which you need for recording and meeting clients. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. Work community and culture: Rinnekodit is a workplace that supports the holistic well-being of its employees. We build together a respectful and equal work culture where everyone has the opportunity to develop. Our work community includes practical nurses, social workers and the service unit manager as your supervisor. We welcome you warmly as part of our work community and ensure a good orientation to support your work. At Wäylä, attention is paid to meeting and promoting participation, which applies to both residents and colleagues. In our conversational team, no one's thoughts go unheard and everyone's personality and strengths can be seen in the work. We have received feedback that it is easy to join our team and new colleagues are welcomed with joy. A good atmosphere and well-being at work are a matter of the heart for us. Each of us is your support – please feel free to tell us your development suggestions! We use the principles of a safer space. By following them together, we ensure a respectful, safe and pleasant work community for everyone, where everyone can be themselves. You can come to work at Wäylä with your heart! We offer you: remuneration according to the private social services sector collective agreement, for example: for practical nurses 2495.24-2825.05 € + shift bonuses; for practical nurse students who have completed 2/3 of the degree 2345.53-2655.55 € + shift bonuses; for special instructors/social workers 2762.58-3016.00 € + shift bonuses; for social and health care UAS students who have completed 2/3 of the degree 2596.83-2835.04 € + shift bonuses; versatile occupational health care and comprehensive leisure-time accident insurance; possibility of part-time employment; your own mentor and a hospitable orientation designed for you; a task in which you can utilize your expertise and strengths. Applying for the job and recruitment process: You can easily submit your application by answering a few questions. We hope that you submit your application in Finnish. The application period ends 2.8.2026 – however, we may close the recruitment earlier if the right person is found. We will hold the first interviews in the last week of July. Work starts 3.8.2026 or by agreement. We value diversity in our work community and encourage people from different backgrounds to apply for work with us. Questions? Feel free to contact: Service Unit Manager Niina Leskinen, weekdays 8.00-16.00 tel. 040 1603410 or by email niina.leskinen@rinnekodit.fi
