A fixed-term position as a SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER in early childhood education is available in the central area of early childhood education. The initial unit of employment is Puolivälinkangas Daycare. The position is scheduled from August 3, 2026, to April 9, 2027. The duties include tasks in early childhood education and preschool education in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act. The qualification requirement for the Special Education Teacher is the qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 30), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same act (Section 75). Additionally, a specialized training and postgraduate degree according to Regulation (608/2005), Section 2, or a master's degree in education with a major in special pedagogy are required. The salary for the Special Education Teacher is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €3,124.05 to €3,239.10. The actual salary consists of the job-specific pay and possible other level-based allowances according to OVTES. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued in accordance with the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). According to Section 55 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the employer is responsible for requiring a reliable statement from the employee or intern/student that they do not have active pulmonary tuberculosis. This statement must be provided before starting work. The position involves a trial period. Interviews will be held between June 4, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exact schedule will be announced to those selected for an interview. The interviews will be held at the Oulu City Hall, address: Torikatu 10, Oulu. Applications are primarily submitted via the electronic application form.
