Job Description
Welcome to work at an open-minded construction and built environment design and consulting firm! Our projects related to data centers, industry, renewable energy, and cleanrooms are growing rapidly, and we are now seeking to strengthen our multidisciplinary team. We have a solid track record in industrial projects, and interesting tasks in design and construction management are planned for the future. At A-Insinöörit, we create a culture where our experts and clients can succeed together. We offer the benefits of a large company, combined with the straightforwardness of a small firm, in an inspiring, award-winning work community where everyone has the opportunity to follow a career path suited to them. We are now looking for a Design Director in Acoustic Design in Tampere or Espoo. A-Insinöörit’s acoustic design unit is a leading player and thought leader in the field. The unit operates in seven locations and our services cover the entire country. Our strengths include broad expertise and continuous development, as well as active participation in industry development and research projects. As the design director of acoustic design, you will be responsible for leading the overall direction and management within a designated team on demanding acoustic design projects, such as performance spaces, museums, libraries, arenas, music schools, and sports centers. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, leading the team by supporting, coaching, and developing the overall work. You will also be responsible for the technical quality of design, operational models, and the execution of expert work. You will engage with clients by participating in sales and tender activities and managing customer relationships. You will grow our existing customer base through your network and new client acquisition, ensuring the best customer experience. We are interested in hearing what skills and experience you bring, and we offer opportunities to develop both your own and the team’s expertise. A more detailed job description will be tailored to you. The position is based in Espoo or Tampere, but projects may be located across the country and abroad. To succeed in this role, you need an inquisitive mind, precision, and a desire to demonstrate your expertise and develop. We hope you have the courage to showcase your skills, good communication skills, and an independent work attitude, without forgetting teamwork. The role requires a relevant degree (Master of Science or equivalent) and previous experience in similar roles. We prefer candidates with PV certification in acoustic design and at least ten years of experience in acoustic design. Proficiency in Finnish, both spoken and written, is required; on an international market, we are also interested in whether you can work in English. We invest in making our work community inspiring for everyone and in developing our people’s skills. At A-Insinöörit, everyone has the opportunity to shine! Our community spirit is visible in our daily work; we work together and better, and each day begins with a hearty breakfast, where we can also talk about topics beyond work. We offer plenty of space for influencing our ways of working: your ideas can come true with us! We also offer other competitive employee benefits in a workplace recognized as one of the most attractive in Finland in the engineering sector (Universum 2025). Interested? We are happy to discuss with you, so please contact us and send your CV, degree certificate, and a free-form application including your salary expectations by June 11 at www.ains.fi/ura. For security reasons, we do not accept applications via email.
