The Normal School of Tampere University is a practice school as defined by the University Act (558/2009), part of the Faculty of Education and Culture. Its mission is to develop teacher education and implement supervised teaching practice courses for students in subject teacher, special education, and primary school teacher training. The position is a fixed-term role as a broad-based special education teacher from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, focusing on grades 1-3, involving teaching, teacher training supervision, and active development work. The role requires collaboration with a team of special education, class, and subject teachers, as well as student teachers and school welfare staff. The teaching load is 24 weekly hours. The candidate must meet the teacher qualification requirements under the Finnish decree (986/1998), have completed pedagogical studies, and possess at least two years of full-time teaching experience after qualification. The role demands excellent teamwork, communication skills, proficiency in Finnish, and experience in development activities and co-teaching.
