This may include, for example, a graduate preparing for matriculation exams or someone preparing for university entrance exams. Previous teaching experience or experience in private tutoring is considered an advantage. The most important qualities are confidence in teaching, good interaction skills, and a desire to help others develop. The work is flexible and usually takes place in the afternoon or evening—schedules are agreed upon independently with the client. Tutoring can be conducted at the student’s or tutor’s home, in a library, or online. Working hours and the number of clients depend largely on the subject taught and the timing, and you decide how many clients you want to take. Work begins based on client needs.
