Punkaharju Daycare offers early childhood education and preschool education and is the only 24/7, evening, and weekend care provider in the Punkaharju early childhood education area. The daycare is located in the municipal center. Forests, lakes, and sports services are nearby, as well as other services such as the library. The daycare's yard is natural and peaceful, providing children with diverse play and physical activity opportunities. We are looking for early childhood education assistants for fixed-term positions as follows: Early Childhood Education Assistant, 35 hours/week - Fixed-term from August 3, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Early Childhood Education Assistant, 38.25 hours/week - Fixed-term from September 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The employment may end earlier if the child's temporary personal support needs cease. The assistant works in a children's group either as a child-specific or group-specific assistant. The assistant guides and supports one or more children with support needs. Their task is to support the child's daily functioning and enable participation in group activities. The assistant promotes the child's development, learning, and well-being in accordance with early childhood education goals, in cooperation with other staff. We require good teamwork and interaction skills, flexibility, independent responsibility, and a positive and sensitive work attitude. Qualifications include a suitable degree in education and guidance. Other suitable candidates may also be considered. Position-specific salary: €2,495.90/month, paid proportionally to working hours. Employment contract: KVTES. A four-month probation period applies. The selected candidate must provide a tuberculosis screening report in accordance with the Infectious Diseases Act (55§) and a criminal record extract related to working with children in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
