Job Description
We are seeking a registered nurse to join the children's and youth mental health and substance abuse services team in Jämsä for a fixed-term employment from August 3, 2026, to February 26, 2027. As a nurse, your duties include working with children, youth, and families on mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as interaction and relationship challenges. The work involves dialogic, solution-focused, and short-term therapeutic methods, and is carried out through individual, family, and group work. The role includes assessment of care needs, support, and treatment work with young people suffering from mild to moderate mental health and substance abuse challenges, and their families. You will also work partly with clients in children's mental health services and parenting and family counseling. The Central Finland welfare area has strengthened the operations of family clinics and support and treatment access for children's and youth's mental health and substance abuse prevention at the basic service level. The activities have been developed and impact has been sought by combining the functions of family clinics and new youth mental health and substance abuse teams into multidisciplinary units. Our operations are strongly based on multidisciplinary teamwork. In this role, you will be part of the basic level mental health, education, and family counseling multidisciplinary team for children and youth in the region, working closely with psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists, and doctors. Close teamwork and continuous development are part of our daily work. We offer group supervision and training related to the job to support your work. We also provide close support from a supervisor. The working hours are flexible, and partial remote work is possible. The role may require occasional travel, so access to a car is beneficial. The salary for this position is €3,115.50/month. In addition, we pay experience-based supplements of 3% for 5 years and 8% for 10 years of work experience.
