Job Description
Currently offering a summer job as a painter at Finland's leading painting company, Sorcolor. We are looking for motivated employees for the 2026 summer season, with a positive attitude. Previous experience is beneficial, but we are also happy to train first-timers to become top painters. Working as a painter at Sorcolor offers a great opportunity to work, for example, with a school friend, sibling, or best friend! In any case, work is always done in pairs. If you know a friend you'd like to work with during the summer, apply together for this position. We offer motivating pay, a supportive work environment, and attentive management, so you don't have to fear being alone. We primarily expect a positive attitude from you and your work partner! Besides attitude, motivation, initiative, and good physical condition are prerequisites for this job. What is a painter's work like at Sorcolor? Happy painter, satisfied customer! When you work with a good mood, results are always better. Customers are more satisfied, and you are likely to earn more because the work progresses faster. The painter's duties include all painting tasks from scaffolding assembly to final inspection together with the customer. Painting work is performed independently at various sites with your work partner. We want you to succeed in your work as best as possible. You will have the freedom to solve problems yourself, but support is always available if needed. Painter work is physical and sometimes even demanding, but completing projects and happy customers bring a smile to your face. The work takes place during the summer season from April to September. Exact dates are agreed upon case by case. A typical work period is 3-6 months. How do we ensure sufficient support and training? We offer the benefits of a large organization. With extensive experience in painting, we know how to consider everything necessary for your success as a painter. The planning of quality painting begins with professional sales work, after which project managers plan the site carefully and select painters for the tasks. They consider your experience and provide hands-on guidance if needed. When you arrive at the site, you can be confident about what you will do. If problems arise, project managers are there to help and support you at all times. Orientation begins with remote training before starting work. On your first day, you will receive on-site orientation from the project manager. If necessary, we teach you everything from attaching a trailer to opening paint cans. Who is suitable for painting work? If you're wondering whether a summer job as a painter suits you, read this and consider if the description sounds like you: At Sorcolor, the most important trait for a painter is a positive attitude. Experience is a good second, and it is beneficial, but attitude matters more than experience. Good physical condition is important for a painter. Painting is physically demanding, so after the first few days, you will likely be very tired, but as you get used to it, you will also be able to handle it better. You and/or your work partner must have a driver's license and a trailer hitch-equipped car, as sites change frequently. Painting work also requires you to be over 18 years old. How much is paid for this work? The best part of Sorcolor's painter wages is that you can influence your salary through your diligence in piecework bonuses. We strictly follow the collective agreement for the painting industry, which provides a good base salary for all employees. At each site, you also have the opportunity to earn more by working diligently. If you have experience in painting, you can also invoice as a freelancer or through your own company. Why work at Sorcolor? When you work at Sorcolor, you have a good chance of getting work in the following summers as well. Good workers are in demand! If you want to advance in your career, you will find new challenges in our growing team. Many painters progress to supervisory roles and may find employment in other tasks. During winter, you can also work part-time in sales or related roles. We have a strong team spirit and a youthful work environment where you will surely enjoy working! If this announcement has sparked your interest as a painter, apply soon with your work partner. Positions are filled as soon as suitable candidates are found.
