Senior Social Worker, Customer and Service Guidance, Turku - Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue - Turku, Finland

A new unit for youth-specific social work related to juvenile delinquency will be established alongside the Ankkuri activity through the Varto project funded by the Ministry of Justice, from autumn 2026. The project and the upcoming activities will be under the leadership of the senior social worker of Ankkuri. You will have the opportunity to lead the project and develop new multidisciplinary operations as the senior social worker of Ankkuri. Your tasks You will serve as the senior social worker in the Varto-Ankkuri team operating at the Turku main police station. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside police officers, social services professionals, and youth services in situations involving youth crime and domestic violence. You will be responsible for the team’s immediate supervision, staff support, recruitment, and legal compliance of activities. The role combines leadership and client work, requiring the ability to make independent decisions and operate in demanding situations. You will actively lead and develop multidisciplinary cooperation and interfaces between different authorities, municipalities, and organizations. You will ensure that collaboration functions smoothly and supports client-centered services. The work is varied and fast-paced. You may encounter stressful situations and threats of violence, so it is important to support your own and your team’s well-being. Your workplace is located in central Turku, adjacent to the Turku main police station, in modern facilities that facilitate close and efficient cooperation between the Ankkuri team and police.
