The Information Management service area enables city departments to provide safe, functional, and impactful digital services and supports the implementation of the city's strategy through digitalization. In this role, you will influence how digital services, data, automation, and artificial intelligence support city services, staff daily work, and smooth citizen interactions now and in the future. The service area is responsible especially for: - the city's overall architecture, integrations, and system management - strategic guidance of ICT procurements and supplier collaboration - overall management of user, infrastructure, identity, and telecommunications services - management of device and software procurement and lifecycle - overall management of cybersecurity and development of a secure digital operating environment - utilizing digitalization, automation, and AI in service development - development of data-driven management and data utilization The ICT Director reports to the Head of Corporate Administration. This is a position located within the Corporate Administration's Information Management service area. As ICT Director: - you will be responsible for the operation, economy, and performance of the service area - lead the overall digitalization and ICT services across the entire city organization - guide the city's ICT architecture, integration solutions, system development, and technological choices - ensure cybersecurity and continuity management - develop the service and supplier model in collaboration with key partners - advance digitalization, automation, and AI utilization in practical services - lead change projects and ensure their impact across departments - actively collaborate with department management. You will build a network-based, customer-oriented, and change-capable organizational culture. You will work in cooperation with other service areas and be a member of the corporate management team. Qualifications: - Suitable higher university degree - Good oral and written skills in Finnish and Swedish. Additionally, we require: - Strong experience in strategic ICT and digitalization leadership - Ability to lead broad technology and change initiatives effectively and customer-oriented - Ability to lead in a coaching, participative, and goal-oriented manner - Vision of modern ICT and service architecture and overall architecture management - Experience in leading cybersecurity and continuity management - Understanding of modern integration and identity management solutions as part of secure digital services - Vision of utilizing AI, automation, and data in service development - Ability to build effective partnerships and lead supplier collaboration strategically - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Ability to combine strategic thinking with practical implementation. Preferred: - Knowledge of the public sector operating environment - Understanding of information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001) - English language skills. The position offers a total salary. Salary is determined within the city's senior official salary model. The salary range is €7,000 - €7,400/month. The position is subject to a six-month probation period. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable health certificate.
