Practical Nurse (50%) Kuhmo Open Rehabilitation - Kainuun hyvinvointialue - Kuhmo, Finland

A 50% temporary position for a practical nurse at Kuhmo's mental health and substance abuse services unit until May 31, 2027. The work can start as soon as possible according to the agreement. Our unit operates in Kuhmo on Könninmäentie, with two practical nurses and 1.5 nurses working there. We are part of the mental health and substance abuse team working in adjacent premises on Kainuuntie. We provide services for individuals over 18 years old in Kainuu with various mental health disorders and addiction issues. Our operating principle is to deliver client-centered, family-focused, and outpatient-oriented services. Responsibilities include outpatient care for mental health and substance abuse clients, group facilitation, medication administration, care and guidance for relatives, motivation, and network work. We require commitment to a needs-based care model and case-by-case team work. Additionally, you can share and utilize your strengths to develop the work community and unit, and promote good team spirit and activities aligned with the values of the Kainuu Welfare Area. The work is partly mobile, and a leasing car is available. A driving license is essential. Qualifications include a protected title of practical nurse, with specialization in mental health and substance abuse work or previous qualification as a mental health nurse. We require vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act §48. Experience and additional training in mental health and substance abuse care are considered an advantage.
