South Savo Wellbeing Area Eloisa is seeking a social worker for adult social work on a fixed-term basis in Mikkeli from October 5, 2026, to December 31, 2027. The goal of adult social services is to enable smooth daily life and participation for everyone. Clients may need support during sudden life changes or in resolving long-term challenging situations. Support may include housing, employment, income, social participation, education, relationships, integration, life management, and functioning. As a social worker, you will assess clients' need for special support, plan social work, and provide comprehensive support in collaboration with networks. The work involves diverse client and network work, emphasizing client participation, supporting change processes, and cooperation with various actors. In Mikkeli, you will be part of a skilled and relaxed work community where colleagues support each other. Our workplaces are located in the city center, and each social worker has their own office. Parking spaces are available nearby. The adult social work and employment services staff work in the same premises, enabling close cooperation for the benefit of clients. We also actively collaborate with other services and partners within the wellbeing area. The qualification requirement is a social worker qualification and license according to the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015) §7. If no qualified applicants are available, the position can be temporarily filled for up to one year with a person studying social work who has completed basic and intermediate studies and related practical training. A client-oriented approach, good interaction and cooperation skills, and sufficient oral and written Finnish language skills are also required.
