Temporary JOPO Teacher Position (application period extended) - Alavieskan kunta - Alavieska, Finland

We are seeking a JOPO teacher for a fixed-term position at Alavieskan Yhtenäiskoulu from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The application period has been extended; previous applications will be considered. The work is located in a flexible basic education group for grades 7-9. We are looking for a teacher who can inspire students to enjoy learning through their expertise and caring approach. Alavieskan Yhtenäiskoulu serves all students in Alavieska municipality in grades 0-9. The school has 340 students. Our school prepares students for life. The qualification requirement for the position is in accordance with the Decree on Qualifications for Teaching Staff 986/1998. The basic education qualification required is class teacher, special class teacher, or subject teacher. Employment terms are governed by the Municipal Education Personnel Collective Agreement (OVTES). A 6-month probationary period applies. The selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the employment decision, present a criminal record extract related to working with children, issued within the last 6 months, as required by law (504/2002).
