Job Description
ANNU Social Services was established on Valentine's Day 2023 and is led by social and healthcare professionals. We are now seeking an employee for special participation support in Rovaniemi. The purpose of special participation support is to ensure the right of a person with a disability to participate and be involved in social interactions and leisure activities, even when they are unable to independently or with support form and express their will regarding the content of assistance, or when personal assistance is not suitable for them. The goal is to ensure that the client can enjoy activities with the support of another person's individual assistance. In practice, special participation support can include: - Supporting shared interaction when the person with a disability has limited communication skills or needs support in using communication or connection devices - Supporting meaningful activities with the person with a disability and their close ones - Assisting in finding enjoyable hobbies or activities together with the support provider - Providing support at home through various technical devices for communication, creating an stimulating environment, engaging in arts or sports, outdoor activities, cooking, or baking. We are looking for a person who is a qualified professional under the Act on Social Welfare Professionals or the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/1994). We also consider applicants with other suitable qualifications. Suitable qualifications may include degrees in education, sports, or arts, which are beneficial in supporting the participation of persons with disabilities. - If your background is not in social and healthcare, please note that we can only consider applicants with strong experience working with special groups, such as in disability work. Excellent Finnish language skills are required. If helping others is close to your heart, and you are social, reliable, and proactive, you might be the person we are looking for. Please note that we are seeking hourly workers who are willing to commit to several months of client work. Client visits are at least two hours long and generally take place weekly. We offer flexible, meaningful paid work: - Supportive and encouraging supervisor at ANNU Social Services - Training before starting the job - Salary paid once or twice a month depending on your choice - We follow the collective agreement for private social services and pay according to the collective agreement (G18) We may use Teams for remote recruitment processes.
