Lead Conservator for the Finnish Handicraft Museum - Jyväskylän kaupunki - Remote - Global

The Finnish Handicraft Museum operates as a national responsibility museum preserving and promoting Finnish craft culture, craft traditions, knowledge, and skills. It aims to enhance the appreciation of crafts, support craft as a profession and hobby, and encourage creative entrepreneurship. The museum, including the National Costume Center and Conservation Center, offers expert services accessible to everyone and is located in Jyväskylä. The Lead Conservator is responsible for managing collections, planning and developing conservation activities and storage, and providing national customer advice, training, lectures, and consulting. The role requires a higher education degree in conservation (AMK/YAMK). Experience in textile conservation and museum work is advantageous, along with leadership skills and good collaboration and communication skills. The position offers a diverse and responsible role within a professional team, with a salary of 3352.47 €/month plus experience-based allowance up to 8%.
