Job Description
We are seeking school attendance supervisors, primarily at Mikaelin School. The position is temporary, from August 7, 2026, to June 5, 2027. We are hiring for Mikaelin Special School, at the Koulukatu elementary school unit. Mikaelin Special School's special classes provide education for students who may have a wide range of learning support needs. The need for support in learning typically manifests as challenges in self-regulation, concentration, and behavior. All students at Mikaelin School require significant adult support during the school day. Therefore, we are looking for school attendance supervisors with skills and experience working with students facing challenges in activity regulation and concentration. The Koulukatu elementary school unit is a special school with approximately 100 students. The school's culture emphasizes collaborative activities and the development and maintenance of a supportive environment for students. We expect all employees to have the ability and willingness to work in teams, as well as good cooperation and interaction skills. Qualifications include a relevant vocational qualification or previous formal education in the field, such as a vocational or specialized qualification. Candidates must submit a criminal record extract (as per the Criminal Records Act, Section 6, Subsection 2) to the employer.
