Are you interested in cooking good food in a patriotic work environment? We are looking for a COOK for Poiju's good food special forces, responsible for the Navy's catering in Turku. The army does not march on an empty stomach, and food plays a crucial role in soldiers' endurance. You and your colleagues at Poiju's barracks restaurant are key to ensuring soldiers have the energy to complete their service. Our customers highly value the cook's work - they eat four times a day the good food prepared by you and your colleagues. The work in the barracks restaurant is diverse, preparing food in large pots using Leijona's own recipes. You will work flexibly in morning and evening shifts, including diet, salad, and pre-preparation tasks. Experience with Aromi 14 production control system is a plus. Sometimes it also means handling a ladle during military exercises in the middle of the forest. Our tables are filled with customers every day of the year, working hours vary between 5:00 and 19:30, mainly weekdays. The position is temporary from August 3, 2026, to December 20, 2026. Essential recruitment criteria: A cook's degree enabling you to prepare good and healthy food. You have a hygiene passport. You have gained experience in cooking tasks and can work independently according to instructions. You have at least one year of large-scale kitchen experience. You are a team player with a proactive attitude, eager to learn, and passionate about making tasty food. You work with pride and it is an honor for you to make delicious food. Our working language is Finnish, and our recipes are only available in Finnish. We expect good Finnish language skills. Your workstation is located on a military base, and our client requires a security clearance. Leijona will assist you with this.
