Job Description
The South Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services County is hiring a fixed-term registered nurse position from August 24, 2026, to April 26, 2027 (start date negotiable), with the initial placement in the psychogeriatric department M3. The Wellbeing Services County's M3 department is a psychogeriatric ward where multidisciplinary assessment and treatment are provided mainly for elderly patients with memory issues requiring hospitalization. The core principles of the ward are rehabilitative care, safety, and community. Work is multidisciplinary and considers the patient's support network. Our goal is to ensure active aging. The ward has 24 beds, divided into two functional 12-bed units. Nurses work in both units. We offer a meaningful work environment and a multidisciplinary, encouraging work community. The nurse's work on the ward involves two-shift work. Applicants are expected to have good cooperation and interaction skills, flexibility, motivation to develop nursing care, a rehabilitative approach, and experience in the type of nursing work relevant to the ward's operations. Additionally, applicants must have medication administration training (LOVe or equivalent) in accordance with healthcare professionals' competence requirements. In our selection, we emphasize both qualifications and the applicant's suitability for the position. The qualification requirement is a license as a registered nurse, Law 559/94. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the applicable SOTE agreement, with a task-specific salary of €2,947.90/month at the start of employment. A trial period will be observed during employment. A certificate of health status and a criminal background check in accordance with Law 741/2023 must be presented before accepting the fixed-term position. The selected candidate may be required to undergo a drug test. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55. Interview day is scheduled for week 34.
