Data Engineer - Java - IFS - Remote - Global

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Java to design and implement integrations between our customer support platform and SAP systems. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable integrations that enable seamless data flow for helpdesk, CRM, and content management capabilities. Key Responsibilities include designing and developing SAP integrations, building APIs and connectors, implementing data synchronization, working with SAP APIs (REST, OData, SOAP, BAPIs, RFCs), ensuring secure connectivity with authentication mechanisms, building inbound REST/OData API calls, data mapping and transformation, optimizing performance, and handling errors. The role also involves SAP system analysis for inbound and outbound integration, designing patterns for creating or updating SAP objects, and understanding SAP modules such as Service Cloud, CRM, S/4HANA, and Knowledge Central. Collaboration with product, engineering, and customer success teams is essential. Qualifications include 5+ years of SAP experience, deep knowledge of SAP Service Cloud and CRM, experience with SAP APIs, and proficiency in Java or similar languages. Additional skills include building RESTful APIs, understanding SAP data structures, and experience with cloud platforms. Preferred qualifications include SAP certifications, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP C/4HANA, SAP Gateway, SAP HANA, legacy integration patterns, microservices, monitoring tools, and SaaS experience.
