We are seeking a preparatory education additional teacher for basic education in the city of Kajaani for the period from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The preparatory additional education in basic education is provided by an additional support teacher. The support teacher offers language support and develops and organizes individual support for students. The instruction can be delivered as co-teaching or in small groups. The goal of the instruction is to support students' skills in reading, understanding, and interpreting texts in various subjects, as well as producing texts. The teacher will teach at multiple schools within Kajaani's basic education system. We expect you to have an enthusiastic and independent approach to work, as well as the ability to engage with students of basic education age. Knowledge of teaching students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, as well as proficiency with modern teaching tools and methods, and a proactive work attitude, are also valued. The salary is in accordance with OVTES. The salary for a qualified teacher is €3,220.91. The teaching obligation is 24 hours per week. Qualifications include a primary school teacher or subject teacher qualification (qualification requirements for education personnel, regulation no 986/1998). Certificates demonstrating qualifications will be checked during the possible interview. In the absence of qualified applicants, other candidates will also be considered. Priority will be given to laid-off employees and those whose employment has been interrupted, provided they meet the qualification requirements.
