Motor Grader Operator - Porin kaupunki - Pori, Finland

The logistics and street maintenance unit of the Technical Department of the City of Pori is seeking a motor grader operator. The logistics and street maintenance unit is responsible for maintaining the city's traffic routes, acquiring, managing, and maintaining registered vehicles, procuring and contracting heavy equipment and private auto and machinery fleets, and managing the technical department's storage needs. Additionally, the unit handles internal mail and small parcel deliveries between city locations and vehicle transfers not under parking enforcement jurisdiction. The unit is led by the logistics and maintenance manager. Your tasks include various street maintenance and construction tasks related to the city's infrastructure, primarily performed with a motor grader. Tasks also include winter maintenance, which is often carried out outside regular working hours depending on conditions. We expect commitment to assigned tasks. The position requires a Category C driving license and professional qualification as a truck driver, as well as previous experience with earthmoving machinery. Experience with motor graders, earthmoving transportation tasks, and winter maintenance (e.g., snow plowing) is considered an advantage.
