Job Description

The education department of Siikajoki municipality announces a temporary position for a special class teacher at Gumerus School from August 31, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The position is in a small class where students mainly receive individual support from different grades (1-9). We are looking for a teacher who can inspire students to learn through their expertise and caring approach. We value a developmental and evolving work attitude, constructive attitude within the work community, and methods to meet the support needs of different learners. Good multidisciplinary cooperation skills with various stakeholders are also important. The qualification requirement is compliance with the qualification criteria for teaching staff as per the decree 986/1998. The employment terms follow the OVTES agreement. A three-month probation period applies. Before confirming the appointment, the selected candidate must present an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract issued under law 504/2002 within 30 days of the decision.
