Pulkamontie Health Center is one of three health centers in Rovaniemi and provides outpatient health services to approximately 25,000 residents. The health center operates with a continuous care model, where each resident has a designated personal doctor and nurse. The role includes diverse general practitioner duties at a health center with about 20 doctors. Start date by agreement. The position includes on-call duties at the Lapland Central Hospital Emergency Department, which operates in new and functional premises completed in 2023. On-call work in a comprehensive emergency hospital broadens the scope of work and allows flexibility in working hours, including active leave periods, without interrupting specialization services. In Rovaniemi, all services required for general medicine specialization can be completed in the same location and under the same employer. The health center also offers opportunities to develop geriatric specialization services. Our units in the Lapland welfare area are appropriately sized and human-sized. The qualification requirement is the right to practice medicine as a licensed healthcare professional under the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/1994) §4. Salary and employment terms are determined according to the Medical Contract. The position includes a 6-month probation period. Proficiency in Finnish, both spoken and written, is required. We follow the vaccination requirements mandated by the workplace and infectious disease law. Before starting, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by law 741/2023 §28, concerning work with elderly persons.
