Job Description

Would you like to be part of a multidisciplinary team aiming to utilize Finnish registry data in an internationally significant research project? Finland has recently launched a large and internationally important pragmatic clinical vaccine study, where participant follow-up is almost exclusively based on Finnish social and health registers. Kela manages and modifies the registry data used in the project, as well as planning and monitoring analyses related to the research. We are looking for a multidisciplinary project team member in social and health data science (statistics) for a fixed-term position of five years. Your task is to produce analyses from registry data that support research monitoring and help refine the analysis plan. High standards of data reliability are required in clinical research. You will ensure that your analyses enable the project to produce research and refined analysis plans on time and with quality. You have solid expertise in statistical methods and experience in analyzing real-world data from social and health services. You enjoy hands-on work and are a team player. This project also promotes the use of data in Kela’s analytical applications (statistics, forecasts, research, other data services) in close collaboration with data architects, researchers, and other data scientists. You are ready and eager to generalize your analytical solutions to serve broader needs of real-world data analysis at Kela. Success in the role requires good communication, organization, and facilitation skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and understandably. Your professional support comes from our multidisciplinary team, data architects, Kela data scientists, and other domain experts. We offer a unique opportunity to participate in a significant international research project, demonstrating how Finnish registry data can produce societal benefits. An interesting and goal-oriented role where you help create a showcase for other international studies utilizing Finnish real-world data. Competent and motivated colleagues. Good employment benefits. A salary starting at 4300 EUR/month.
