Job Description

Take the opportunity to gain experience as a comprehensive special needs teacher in early childhood education at Kauklahden Daycare Center (four groups). Additionally, your work area includes Vantinkuma Daycare Center (two groups). Your task is to serve as a comprehensive special needs teacher at Kauklahden and Vantinkuma Daycare Centers. The activities are guided daily by the Espoo early childhood education plan and the national early childhood education plan. Kauklahti is a historically significant environment along the Kuninkaantie road and remains a peaceful, village-like, and nature-close residential area on the western edge of Espoo in 2026. Kauklahti is easily accessible and located close to good transportation links, with trains running every 15 minutes and about a three-minute walk from the train station to the early childhood education unit and Hansakallio School. The Kauklahden library is also on the same street. Workplace name and address: Kauklahden Daycare Center, Hansakallionkuja 4, 02780 Espoo. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week. The position is permanent starting from 03.08.2026. We consider all applications received during the application period. Qualifications: Qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Qualification as an early childhood education teacher. Additionally, completed studies providing professional skills for special needs education. or Master of Education with a major in special pedagogy (early special needs teacher training). We also consider newly graduated early childhood education special needs teachers. The role requires good interaction skills and experience working with children. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to clarify the risk of tuberculosis transmission. We value a positive and development-oriented work attitude.
