We are looking for a comprehensive special education teacher for Mellunmäki Primary School to join a community-oriented and professional team. Mellunmäki Primary School is a multicultural local school in East Helsinki with approx. 410 students. Our school has three special classes for demanding support, four local special classes and a preparatory class. The encouraging encounter of different learners is the basis of our school's teaching. We have long developed co-teaching and strong operational structures in our school. According to the latest personnel survey, we feel, among other things, that we help each other and succeed together in the work community. Access is great for us, as we are within walking distance of the Mellunmäki metro and bus stations. The special education teacher provides group-specific support to students. In addition, the teaching provided by the special education teacher is aimed at full-time small group teaching in individual subjects implemented as student-specific support. In this case, the special education teacher is responsible for the assessment of the subject in question. The job description includes special pedagogical consultation, which is implemented through separate, joint discussions and in simultaneous teaching during lessons by showing a model and guiding.
