A fixed-term position for a part-time teacher is available at Ylikiiminki School from August 10, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Subjects to be taught include mathematics, physics, and chemistry. "Ylikiiminki School is a community-oriented pioneer in education. We are proud of our roots and aim to build meaningful lives." Ylikiiminki has one school with two units: the Ylikiiminki unit for grades 1-9, and the Vesala unit for grades 1-6. Approximately 85% of the students in the Ylikiiminki unit are transported by school bus. Students come from the town center and various villages. Vesala unit students come from the Reki-Vesala area. The total number of students is about 500. Ylikiiminki School has developed strongly in personalized and flexible learning. STEAM pedagogy is a core part of both units' culture, and the school has created its own STEAM pathway focusing on environment and nature. Both units have a FabLab. The school is also a Green Flag school, which is reflected in many aspects of its activities. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Original certificates of qualification must be presented at the interview. Experience in teaching information and communication technology is considered an advantage. Salary is based on the municipal collective agreement for the education sector.
